Alexa Skirmont joins PCM serving growers in Ogle, Winnebago, Boone, Dekalb, and Lee counties. Alexa recently worked as a Crop Specialist at Conserv FS in Marengo, Illinois. At Conserv she worked with growers to help manage crop protection, seed, and fertilizer at a retail agriculture facility. In addition, she progressed the mapping software that the company was previously using, to improve operator accuracy and develop transparency in customer relations.
Alexa received her Undergraduate Degree from Illinois State University in Agriculture Business and Business Administration and her master’s degree from Oklahoma State University in International Agriculture focused in Sustainability and Business. She was raised in Plato Center, Illinois with her parents and brother. She first started her career in agriculture in her high school FFA program. Alexa and her husband, Adam, reside in Burlington, Illinois and have a family grain and cattle operation in Virgil, Illinois. Alexa hopes to be the farmers right hand person, helping them make educated decisions with conservation practices, and anything else they may need.
