Jonah’s focus on conservation and soil science began with her involvement in FFA. She attended Parkland College and Illinois State University for her bachelor’s degree in Agronomy and certificate in Precision Farming. During her time at ISU, her passion for conservation earned her an internship with the Dewitt County Soil & Water Conservation District. She later secured her role as the Resource Conservationist in Dewitt and Piatt Counties.
Jonah and her daughter, JoCee, have four goats, a couple of horses and a few acres of cropland nearby where they get to dabble in crop farming. They enjoy showing horses, kayaking, camping at Clinton Lake, and gardening.
As a PCM Specialist, Jonah has a passion for working to move farmers forward in their conservation goals by sharing with them data that supports conservative approaches to farming in a financially feasible way. She also looks forward to continuing conservation work in the PIVOT region – her lifelong home.
