Get Paid for Cover Crops

The Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) is a partner-driven approach to conservation that funds solutions to natural resource challenges on agricultural land. RCPP projects are implemented using NRCS contracts and easements with producers, landowners and communities, in collaboration with project partners.

Regionally Available in Illinois

Eligible Illinois Counties: Champaign, Christian, Clinton, DeWitt, Douglas, Edgar, Ford, Livingston, Macon, Macoupin, Madison, McLean, Monroe, Piatt, Sangamon, St. Clair, Tazewell, Vermilion, Washington, and Woodford.

Benefits

The NRCS provides payments directly to farmers who plant cover crops. Payments vary based on cover crop species and land size.

Farmers enrolling in this program have the benefit of receiving technical assistance from their PCM Specialist and their local NRCS office, providing extra support as farmers transition to cover crops.
